Good Food + Good Libations = Good Times

Martin's at Midtown opened in 2009 with a simple formula: Good food plus good libations equals good times.

Our building began life in the 1880's as a three room residence with, as was common to Southern residences of its era, a detached kitchen. During the next 100 years the building was renovated to accommodate the inhabitants, the Ferris/Angelo families. When Lisa and John Martin purchased the house in 1994 it had been vacant for 15 years. Rehabilitation spanned the course of a year resulting in a commercial building which would house an insurance agency, a toy store, a children's computer school, an educational supply store and several other businesses before becoming the neighborhood restaurant/pub that it is today.  The side deck and the large porch covering our entrance from the parking lot were added in 2011.  The beer garden was a 2013 addition and handles overflow for pint nights and special events.

Our good food focus means house made bread and a "from scratch" menu featuring local and seasonal ingredients.  Our good libations focus includes rotating craft beer taps and wine by the glass selections of interesting varietals as well as old favorites.  Cocktails round out the good libations.  We emphasize community at Martin's.  No TV's on the wall.  At Martin's we talk to each other.  Very retro!

Special events such as Pint Nights with regional craft beer breweries and spirits tastings, as well as Wine and Beer Pairing Dinners occur about once a month.
